WHAT IS LIFE AND LEGACY SOCIETY?

LIFE & LEGACY is a four-year partnership program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation that assists communities across North America, through partnerships with Jewish Federations and Foundations to promote after-lifetime giving to build endowments that will sustain valued organizations and vibrant Jewish communities for the next generation and beyond.

WHERE DOES CHABAD FIT IN?
By deciding to leave a legacy gift to Chabad of Sarasota and Manatee Counties, you can create a permanent legacy for yourself, thus assuring the future of Jewish continuity. There’s no limit on the amount you may set aside from your estate – you may make a gift as large or as small as you like. You may choose to make a gift of cash, securities or other property – and your estate will receive a tax deduction in the amount of your charitable bequest. If you have already drafted your will, your attorney can help you arrange a charitable bequest with a simple amendment or codicil.

 

WHAT IS A LGEACY GIFT?

A legacy gift comes in the form of a gift in any size and can be customized and structured to fit your dreams, lifestyle, family and financial needs. 

Leaving a legacy is simple. Some options include: 

• Gift in a will (bequest) 

• Gift of life insurance 

• Gift of IRA or retirement assets 

• Gift of cash or appreciated stock 

• Charitable Gift Annuity 

• Charitable Remainder Trust
