At junior congregation children will sing holiday songs and prayers, play group games, board games, and join the congregation for the Shofar blowing. A sandwich lunch and snack will be served. Prior reservations are necessary. For further information, please contact Sara Steinmetz.

The Rosh Hashanah Onegs which follow each service, are open for sponsorship. For $300 you can sponsor an Oneg in honor of a special occasion or in memory of a special person. To sponsor a Rosh Hashanah Oneg, please call the office.

On Yom Kippur it is customary for men to wear a white tunic-like garment called a Kittel during the prayers. The white Kittel is reminiscent of the angels and symbolizes purity. Furthermore, the Kittel resembles burial shrouds and thus reminds us that death is inevitable, and thus humbles us to do Teshuvah - repentance. For these reasons, it is also customary for women to wear white garments on Yom Kippur. The cost for a Kittel is $45. Anyone interested in purchasing a Kittel should call the office at 925-0770.
