COVID policy (8/9/21)

As you can imagine, due to the spread of the new Coronavirus variant, we face a harsh reality. We are once again forced to take extra steps to protect ourselves and our community.

To this effect, Chabad Board met on Sunday, August 8th, and adopted the following policy for the safety and well-being of us all. Please follow this policy any time you enter the Chabad Center.

A. Masks are mandatory for everyone inside the Chabad building over two years old (excluding the preschool students).

B. Masks must be adequately worn, covering the nose and mouth (as Covid is spread through the nose.)

C. Six feet of social distancing must be maintained

D. Vaccinations are a prerequisite for anyone who participates in a leading role at Chabad - i.e., leading services, blowing Shofar, reading from Torah, food preparation, etc. A person who has had Covid has a four-month window from the time of positive test result to get vaccinated.

E. For Rosh Hashana Onegs, individually packaged kits that include a small wine cup, honey cake, and water will be distributed at the end of service. The Kiddush will take place at the podium.

Masks are not necessary when on the playground.
